Also ignored is the fact that the Palestinians were not allowed to have an army/any military (I suppose by the Founding of Israel agreement). The Palestinian resistant movement, by one name "Hamas", includes a military division which defends Palestine with weapons. I suppose the Hamas political branch defends the Palestinians by words, by political negotiation, amongst all parties (please correct me if I'm wrong on this by my stating that they are not involved in the military).

agreed.

what about the unprovoked shooting of over 1200 (52 died) at the Gaza border gate in 2019; when Hamas, I believe, tried to lead a peaceful protest.

1200 protesting peacefully for 1200 Israelis enjoying a warm day .

Not saying this was a good tit-for-tat, but why the Hamas tat can't be any worse than Israel's Tit. Okay what Hamas did on Oct 7, was horrifying. but was it unprovoked or any less terrifying than 4/13/19.

Four dead in Ohio...was horrifying to Americans, the indiscriminate killing of 52 and wounding 1200 more at the border was not?

Why would happen if we opened fire on 1200 immigrants waiting at any border crossing.

Oh well I will, shut up, you said better than I---Israel's war crimes are longstanding and even precede Israeli statehood. Closer to 120 years than 52.

I'm not a Palestinian or a Jew, just an old fart who is a descended from Irish farmers who were sent to America by Cromwell to be "indentured" Slaves before the first black slaves and I've been harping on Israeli war crimes for over fifty years.

Do you see any similarities? Enslave and replace the homes and lands of the Irish. Enslave and replace the homes and lands of the Palestinians. Israel thinks what happened to the memories that are no longer remembered of my ancestors will be as forgettable to the aftermath of history as all the dead Palestinians.

Don't let them Mr. Rashid. Don't anyone let them do it and remember oct 7 was a very provoked attack.

Thank you Qasim, Here’s another article

Excellent rundown, unfortunately nothing will change. The rule of law applies to others, as showcased by our European allies, who wildly cheered the ICC’s ruling against Putin, but hypocritically criticized its ruling against Bibi and his thugs. We are no different, as we will run roughshod over any of the ICJ’s rulings. The Empire is shameless…

The U.S bicameral reaction to Netanyahu's disinformation, misinformation, and defense of his modern day genocide where eventually as many as a quarter of million people will prematurely meet their deaths in the aftermath of the war crimes perpetuated by the criminal prime minister of Israel who has downgrade democracy in Israel something fierce both as a means of staying out of prison --sound familiar?. Besides the thousands of protesters not far from the Capitol and the missing presence of one hundred Democratic congresspeople from the House and Senate. Watching more than a few minutes and watching the standing ovations by our Senators and Representatives was just so pathetic -- I wanted to vomit. The only thing that these two parties with vastly different world views are mostly all in with the genocide oblivious to world opinion and various International Tribunals with respect to criminal law and human rights.. Made me exit for the food network and watch a little of beat Bobby Flay.

One more important thing to consider and to read is from an expert on Israel/Hamas Palestinians history and he will give more insight details later on. Please subscribe to Malcolm Nance substack. Thank you

I sent an article on social media for pm and P & VP, maybe you saw it Qasim, it’s on my social media acct. One of the things it said was the Israel General wants Palestinians to pay for food. “ not in the article but That food is from everyone, not to ask them to pay for it, it’s humanitarian assistance aid, free to feed them from starvation, and water and medical supplies.

I have a few questions about 10/7. First, Egypt warned Israel, Israel didn’t accept it the warning then an area in Israel was allegedly left unprotected by their incredible security system, did it fail? It was reported it had issues or something else. When did Israel know Hamas were building tunnels or a surprise after 10/7 and hostages? Don’t know but I read Israel detained a Dr and journalists, are they in prison being tortured. I also read Israel only allows far right media, even though they want the pm out of office, no elections.

He will also say that Israel isn’t an apartheid state which the ICJ confirmed it is on Friday, and then he will say that Hamas attacked Israel for no reason which the ICJ pointed out the attacks are a response to the illegal occupation and apartheid rule over Palestine, the siege of Gaza, and the incremental annexation of territory that should comprise a Palestinian state (that Biden and State keep saying should happen). It is the Palestinians who are resisting the illegal operated occupation according to the judgment.

Great read thank you! Every Democrat supporting netanyahoo's visit should be forced to read the article in Politico, the experience of two veteran warzone doctors who worked in Gaza. Horrific. No sane human being with a soul would want this murderous maniac to visit.

If Sam Harris had anything intellectual to say I might consider it.

Doesn’t that give you even more reason to discuss the topic with him? As a person trying to see this conflict through all the convoluted history and details of a very complex topic, I find it very frustrating that both sides of this conflict are unwilling to speak to/of the other side openly.

In my view, the people of Gaza remind me of the favelas in Brazil (where I am originally from). You have people pretending to help them (like Hamas), people associating them all to criminals (like Netanyahu’s party), and in the meantime all of these people are collateral damage used to push agendas and political propaganda.

Sometimes people do not want to engage in meaningful discussions. They are riding the wave of rhetoric for fame and glory. I am sure that if a sincere person would look at facts and not emotions, all of us would be better served by such conversations. I do appreciate your honesty and your perspective. I only wish more people would listen instead of speaking and “Walk a mile in the other person’s shoes.”

I’ve tried to engage him in debate before. He’s refused to admit he’s wrong and attacked me on identity politics. He’s not one to uphold integrity.

Yes, I can totally see that (him not admitting he’s wrong), it is a major issue with him IMO. So let me ask questions that I have not seen answered: what would the day after a cease fire look like? What would happen of the Hamas operatives who will be looked at as hero’s by other hijadists? How do we find a path forward for peace that does not involve dissolving Israel and the people in Gaza/West Bank are not continuously being abused?

If I may, would the Palestinians accept a free society with gay bars, use of alcohol, women not wearing hijabs, and Jews having the same rights as them? (I honestly don’t know how they see any of these things, and understand some Jews would not want the same rights as Muslims)

For what it’s worth: I have a friend who was in the IDF. I was with him October 8th as he was receiving texts from friends living in the area being attacked by Hamas the morning of the attack. His first words were “oh no, Israel will have to retaliate and a lot of people in Gaza will die.”

Best case scenario - Netanyahu is arrested by the ICC before his speech. Next best case scenario - he is arrested after, and what he says is used against him.
