I am finding all this incredibly hard to digest ! What IS the felon trying to do ? Kill off all decent American people . Does he get it that his ( gasp ) ‘loyal’ MAGA followers too will suffer.? Or are they , like all the rest of ordinary folk aka as non-billionaires, also expendable ?

Thank you. Use the app 5 calls to make it even easier to call the electeds in your state. A long list of horrible things they are doing everyday. Or they are doing nothing and letting Trusk destroy our country.

Not only does this budget steal from the American people but it sets the foundation for this century's Holocaust. For the purge of those in nursing homes, assisted living homes and seriously ill people. 77 million people in medicaid. These cuts means certain death for thousands if not millions. Crimes against humanity apply. Here is a deeper dive into these cuts:

And the people who voted for the orange blob are happy with this decision to basically trash all human rights - like Medicaid, food banks for those in dire need - the most basic requirements for a vast section of the population who are struggling more than they have in decades . Just so the billionaires can purchase another super yacht or private plane . Is this what they voted for ? If asked, would most of them still insist that the Donald and his SA sidekick are ‘doing a good job’ ?? Hmmmm?

You say this budget cuts snap and medicaid but can you list where it says that? Because anyone can say anything but it’s most helpful if you give receipts.

This is called the purge. Only it’s not a movie anymore, and this is how it will play out in real time. I’m curious, if you begin destroying your citizens, who will buy the corporations crap that they produce? I realize these corporations are international, but these greedy fucks will still lose a ton of money.

The richest country in the world refuses to spend a relative pittance to stop illness and death. Our statistics on cancer deaths alone are a disgrace. I'm 67 and scared shitless of what my future in America will be like. I spent 5 days in hospital a year ago, and the level of care I received was so poor that it was unreal. Add to that, the bill was eye-watering before Medicare paid out, and even then, I'm stuck paying off several thousand in non-covered costs. I think Trump and his friends simply want us to die.

This budget bill is a declaration of a war against the people which has already been ongoing for a long time. To put it bluntly, the rich are openly trying to murder a lot of us and totally impoverish the rest of us through their paid-for politicians - all because of their greed. The effects of this are the same if we were invaded and occupied by a foreign power. We would do all that we could to resist an external invasion of our country, including by violence if necessary. I hope that does not become necessary, but I will NOT disavow it if it does.

Yep, that's why I call this bill violent. Denying people vital healthcare, food, and home access, is a form of violence that should be loudly condemned and opposed.

Thank you for outlining the facts of this bill, however the idea that calling our senators will somehow sway how this vote will go is wildly naive. The Republicans are the majority in the senate and most of them will vote for this bill because slashing social services is what they have always wanted. Calling Dem senators is pointless because most of them will probably vote no but it won't matter because they are outnumbered. If you think calling Republican senators will make them vote differently then I fear you have not been paying attention. They don't care about what is best for the population and even their constituents. You can call them demanding things all you want but they will vote with their party leader.

Naive is pretending doing nothing helps.

You can sit idle and do nothing, or you can lead by example and show a better way. But giving up isn't an option for most of us.

The point of action is to change something but what you’re suggesting changes nothing. It assumes that the ppl in power care about what we say. The US govt has no conscience. You cannot appeal to an oppressor who has no conscience. I think a better alternative to calling elected officials who have proven they don’t care is building towards a general strike. America cares about money and nothing else so hit ‘em where it hurts.

Ditto. One of the few times I'm thankful to have Republican Senators.

Let’s be really clear on two facts: 1) republican senators don’t give a damn about poor people; 2) only 77 million people voted for this. They may represent 330 million people, but they only care about the richest and most prosperous people and corporations in this country. The architects of this crap know that trickle down economics have never and will never work! There is no positive way of spinning this. The republicans who have enabled a convicted felon must be voted out! It probably will not happen as most of the country is gerrymandered. The American people need to wake the hell up and smell the foul stench which is coming from Washington. This is a failure of biblical proportions! A disaster which will cause more to die needless deaths! Remember this if you get to vote in 2026!
