A good photo of her with more info about her would have helped listeners understand who she it. The one sentence that included her name, but nothing more, seemed disrespectful... I don't know her or anything about her, but anyone serving in Congress ought to be given greater respect as she had a lot to offer.
The protesters at Columbia did nothing wrong. They (and I) are against an Israel that seeks to annihilate an entire group of people… we can see on social media the violent toll this has taken on the Palestinian people.
They will “take” any of us who speak up for people’s rights.
And to continue to hold him without charges while his wife is ready to deliver is cruel. No charges. No crime.
But who does have charges???? Who IS the criminal???? His name is Donald J Trump.
The fact that the Trump regime won't even allow due process of law is the clearest proof that they have zero actual evidence to support their claims. Honest, justice based, transparent governments don't disappear people.
I think it has a lot to do with how folks were raised. My mom came here in 1954 from Hamburg Germany and so we heard and saw all the info about Hitler, and I can say we did not learn nearly enough about it in school. And I lived in Italy where I learned about Mussolini. Most folks don’t think it is even possible for fascism to take over. And they cannot actually tell you the definition of the word- really- I’m not just being sanctimonious- they have never HAD to know….
Plus- we still have to go to work/ grocery store/ dentist etc. it makes things seem normal….I have an upside down American flag on my purse- over two weeks- not one person has mentioned it.

Hi Qasim, The history of third parties is DISMAl. I cannot think of anything, in my lifetime, that they have accomplished except wekening the two party system YES the Democratic party has failed abysmally to rise to the occasion. We need new leadership. Has anyone asked Chris Murphy who he thinks would be good? He would be great but we cannot afford to lose his senate set. ONWARD! Stuyvie
I am convinced that had Bernie accepted the Green Party offer to head their ticket after being denied the Democratic nomination, he would've won in 2016. It takes a very popular prominent person to make a 3rd party viable, & at this point none has decided to form a separate movement, a 3rd party, or coalition of existing progressive minor parties with independent progressives & Democratic progressives, which otherwise could be very effective since there's a gaping hole on the left side of the ideological spectrum, as both of the major parties keep drifting rightward.
I think Chris Murphy would make a great minority/majority leader for the Democrats. So would Jeff Merkley, Cory Booker & perhaps a few others.
