I think it has a lot to do with how folks were raised. My mom came here in 1954 from Hamburg Germany and so we heard and saw all the info about Hitler, and I can say we did not learn nearly enough about it in school. And I lived in Italy where I learned about Mussolini. Most folks don’t think it is even possible for fascism to take over. And they cannot actually tell you the definition of the word- really- I’m not just being sanctimonious- they have never HAD to know….

Plus- we still have to go to work/ grocery store/ dentist etc. it makes things seem normal….I have an upside down American flag on my purse- over two weeks- not one person has mentioned it.

Thank you — yeah people here have been oblivious for … decades really. We have become a third world country with broken infrastructure & fouling our own nests.
