“, and write to your member of Congress to demand action and peace.“ what’s that look like? How does the U.S. stop a terrorist insurgency in a foreign country? Peace keeping forces? Boots on the ground to support sdf? Humanitarian aid to keep society functioning as much as possible? Drone strikes on RSF? Genuine question. What should the U.S. do?

Humanitarian aid, UN support and pressure, perhaps UN peace keepers. All of the above. But they won't act unless we raise our voices for them to act.

Nicholas Kristof, NYT, has done a great series of stories and one great Q&A about Sudan. I learned who are the two main combatants and what drives their philosophies. Sadly racism seems to be a big feature.

Racism has always been the driving feature in these atrocities.

Seems to me that racism is a direct path towards dehumanization

Why is this war happening? What resource are the combatants fighting over? Who are the proxies supporting each side financially? What’s in it for them?

Thank You, Qasim, for reporting this horror to us, showing us how we can help the people there, and for your incredible donation.🙏🏽 So true about legacy media and the tiny amount they report isn’t real information. Sharing your post with fam and friends.

"Unsurprisingly, legacy media is notably absent on both to the detriment of all humanity." You're always talking about legacy media falling down on the job, and it's often well-deserved criticism. But I have absolutely heard reporting about the dire situation in Sudan and Congo from traditional sources, whereas this is the first time I've seen you mention it.

I've written about this several times before, and discussed it several times on my nationally broadcast SiriusXM show. And while you may have "seen media," I tend to believe the UN workers in Sudan telling us they're struggling to get media attention: https://www.unocha.org/news/un-relief-chief-tells-media-very-very-difficult-get-attention-sudan

So...thanks for reading this, but you're wrong on both your points.

I never really had much thought about this, but now i do. When i’m emperor, i’ll transfer every tank, jet and soldier from the Persian Gulf to Sudan and help the Sudanese Army fight the RSF.

If you don’t think that’s a tad far fetched.

One thing to add – the United Arab Emirates is enabling the RSF in their genocidal onslaught.

Yep, excellent point.
