The 100 Years War on Palestine did not even document the 1929 Hebron massacre of Jews which lead to the creation of what is now known as the IDF. It is a polemic, not a history, that glosses over Palestinian massacres and crimes and does not present anywhere near an accurate story of the troubles.

Also - all over the place there are scared, young, angry, ethically undeveloped 18 year olds with the stupid and dangerous job of demanding unreasonable things of innocent people just trying to live. No wonder he hid his face. Doing that to people dehumanises himself as well as everyone else

Well, fuck. It’s just awful. Worse and worse. Thank you for writing this. It’s just so sane. Thank you so much.

Thank you for doing this Qasim. I am heartily sorry you had to go through what you did.

I know well. I’ve experienced the same treatment as a Lebanese American Christian traveling in southern Lebanon years ago. They threw our US passports on the ground and stomped on them and then cursed us and the United States. Talk about ungrateful.

Thank you, Mark. It's a snapshot and nothing compared to what Palestinians experience daily.

Stay as safe as possible, Qasim! Thank you so much for providing your valuable observations of how Palestinian’s are continuing to suffer.

I met a young man a few months ago who left Gaza just before October 7, 2023. Many in his family are still in Gaza and each day he tries to communicate with them to make sure they are still alive!

I have always supported the existence of Israel, and remember when the PLO, and Yasir Arafat, felt the opposite: that the State of Israel had no right to exist in Palestine. Now, through information such as what you and others have provided, it is clear that Netanyahu and his right wing cronies do not believe the State of Palestine has a right to exist! It is also clear that Netanyahu considers all Palestinians in Gaza as Hamas. So when his stated goal is to destroy Hamas, what he really means is his goal is to destroy all Palestinians in Gaza!

Also, it seems apparent his goal is to annex still more land in Lebanon and possibly Jordan. He feels he can get away with anything knowing most of the western world will not, or cannot, stop him.

I feel really disillusioned right now.

I commend you on your journey to grow your understanding (and your sphere of compassion). It's truly beyond disappointing to see Biden relentlessly support Netanyahu, who himself is further right than Trump.

Excellent, excellent work. One of my uncles traveled to Palestine in the 80's with a peace group. When we spoke the other night, he said it was bad then but couldn't even imagine it now. Shame.

Everyone I spoke to said it's gotten far worse each yet.

Well done. A perspective on realities that most who haven’t been involved in relief efforts in Palestine don’t even know exist.

Keep the faith!

“I can’t believe what you say because I see what you do.” What a powerful statement. Injustice to any human, does not matter their race or religious beliefs, is an abomination. Peace cannot come soon enough for those ravaged by these horrible events. Netanyahu needs to be stopped.

I have been reading articles from people who are on the ground in occupied Palestine. You are presenting a more in depth view. I will continue to read and learn. Amazing how it seems laws don’t matter. Governments with the upper hand can break them at will. ❤️

“Just following orders”is the excuse high ranking Nazis used to get out of being punished for war crimes at the Nuremberg Trials after World War II

I should not have been, but it left me shocked at how casually he was forcing us to "show our papers" or else.

That is also straight out of Nazi Germany. Israelis should never be behaving that way. When I had to change planes at Munich, all those security signs in German kind of unnnerved me, & then they asked to see my camera. I was worried they would expose the film (this was back before digital).
