One, as you shop, prioritize small businesses, locally owned businesses, women and minority owned businesses, and Unionized businesses. Small, local, and union shops built this country, and we should invest our resources in them to continue to strengthen our middle class. Whether it is donating your time, food, clothing, or money — play an active role in uplifting those individuals and organizations doing the hard work of serving all humanity. For my part, I am donating to Humanity First USA, a resilient non-profit that provides food, shelter, clothing, healthcare, and education access to marginalized communities here and abroad.
