Florida’s Future is on the Line—We Need Gay Valimont in Congress
Electing Gay is the first step towards winning back the house before 2026—here's how you can help make that possible
Today I’m writing with good news—about what is right with our politics. And about how you can help protect our democracy from the onslaught of fascism, but only if we take action now.
In just a few weeks, voters in Florida’s First Congressional District will have the chance to make history. This special election is more than just a race—it’s a rare opportunity to flip a seat vacated by credibly accused statutory rapist Matt Gaetz, take a stand for working people, and send a powerful message to Washington. And best of all, you can help make that happen. Yes really. How? Let’s Address This.
While Republicans claim they have an overwhelming mandate to rule, the truth is they can afford to lose only 2 seats and still keep the House majority. If they lose 3 seats, the MAGA “mandate” is kaput, and Democrats take the House majority. Electing Gay Valimont is the first step to winning back the House and stopping the Republican assault on Social Security, Medicare, and veterans' benefits.
This is the only electoral recourse we have before 2026 and we must capitalize on it.
That’s why I’m throwing my full support behind Gay Valimont, a fighter who will take on the corrupt politicians who are making life harder for everyday Floridians. Her opponent? A rubber stamp carpet bagger who has never lived in the district, flown in by Trump and Musk to advance their agenda of tax cuts to billionaires, benefits cuts to veterans, and gutting Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. We cannot allow that to happen.
This race isn’t just about winning a seat. It’s about winning back our future. I share two critical points below. First, why we need Gay in Congress. Second, how you can help elect Gay, and why you should care that Gay is elected—even if you don’t live in Florida.
The Cost of Living Crisis—And Why Gay Valimont is the Only Choice
Florida’s First District is struggling under skyrocketing costs—soaring housing prices, unaffordable homeowners’ insurance, and an economy that is leaving too many people behind.
You know how we always hear about insurance companies making record profits and screwing over working Americans? Gay’s opponent has sat on the state cabinet that oversees insurance and has done nothing to stop costs from spiraling out of control. He’s literally the guy who is supposed to hold insurance companies accountable, but does the exact opposite. Floridians are being crushed under premiums that are double or triple what they paid just a few years ago. People are being forced out of their homes. Meanwhile, his silence has allowed insurance companies to rake in record profits.
Gay Valimont won’t sit on the sidelines. She has a real plan to lower costs, hold insurance companies accountable, and make Florida livable again.
Protecting Veterans and Retirees from Republican Attacks
Did you know that Florida’s First District has the second-highest number of veterans in the entire country? These are the men and women who put their lives on the line for our freedom—and right now, their benefits are on the chopping block.
Make no mistake: Republicans are coming for Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, and veterans' benefits. And Gay’s opponent is voting right along with them—gutting VA funding, cutting federal employee benefits, and leaving veterans to fend for themselves.
Gay Valimont will fight to fully fund the VA, protect Social Security and Medicare from Republican attacks, and ensure that every veteran and retiree gets the care and dignity they earned.
This Race is Bigger Than Florida—It’s About Winning Back the House
This is one of only three special elections before 2026—and if we flip this seat, we are that much closer to flipping the House. And that’s why you should care, whether you live in Gay’s district or not. If her opponent can bring in dark PAC money from out of state to steal the election, then Gay can pull in support from honest hard working blue collar Americans to win the election on merit. And before you ask, yes, Gay is rejecting all corporate and dark PAC money. Gay is truly running for the People, and that’s why We the People need to show up for Gay.
We cannot afford to sit this one out, and here’s how you can help.
Every door knocked, every phone call made, and every dollar raised is a step toward stopping MAGA extremism in its tracks.

This is our shot. Let’s take it. Let’s send Gay Valimont to Congress.
Pensacola Naval Air Station is in District 1. Hoping the current military members SEE how detrimental DJT has been to the veteran community and do the right thing. Josh Weil is my district and Randy Fine has started up his attack/negative ads against him, which means he may be just a tad concerned. District 6 is heavily Republican but if the independents would vote BLUE, we could do it.
Gay Valimont hosted a Town Hall in Pensacola, Florida, last Friday evening with an enthusiastic standing room only crowd. Her platform supports veterans, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. I live in her District and we need everyone's vote in this Red District. She can help get our country back on track!
