Despite Ceasefire, Netanyahu Continues to Bomb & Block Aid to Gaza
Here's how you can help provide meaningful support Palestinian civilians in dire need
I wish I didn’t have to write this piece, but most media has moved on while the injustices continue. Despite a January 19 ceasefire, Netanyahu has continued to bomb northern Gaza, and now has cut off all aid into Gaza. Notwithstanding the ceasefire, international human rights law obliges an occupying army to ensure humanitarian aid flows unrestricted into the area they are militarily occupying. Netanyahu is ignoring this obligation altogether.
Worse, the Trump administration just sent another $12 billion in arms to Netanyahu and empowered him to continue his assault. Secretary of State Marco Rubio released a statement last week that, “Since taking office, the Trump Administration has approved nearly $12 billion in major FMS sales to Israel.” Again, this notwithstanding that our own US State Department in 2024 confirmed that Netanyahu is not abiding by humanitarian law and is committing war crimes with the weapons sent to him by the Biden Administration.
While it is critical we place pressure on all elected officials to uphold justice and human rights, we can also take meaningful action now to provide relief. I’m partnering with MATW to raise funds for direct aid into Gaza. Especially this Ramadan, I invite you to join by contributing whatever is in your budget. This is a tax deductible donation, and below I share how your funds will be used.
The Aid Trucks for Gaza Initiative 🚛
The Aid Trucks for Gaza initiative is working tirelessly to provide:
🍞 Food Supplies: Nutritious meals for families who have lost everything.
💧 Clean Water: Essential for hydration and hygiene in communities cut off from basic resources.
🩺 Medical Kits: Life-saving medicines and first aid for the injured and sick.
🛏️ Hygiene & Shelter: Blankets, hygiene kits, menstrual products, and temporary protection for displaced families.
Through careful planning and coordination, essential supplies are being delivered from Jordan to Gaza using a streamlined and transparent distribution system, ensuring help reaches those who need it most.
Your Role in the Solution
Every contribution counts. By supporting this initiative, you can help:
🍽 Deliver food packs that sustain families for weeks.
💧 Provide clean drinking water to communities in dire need.
🏥 Distribute emergency medical care to those injured and unwell.
⛺ Offer dignity and safety to displaced families through temporary shelters.
Your generosity directly funds aid trucks loaded with critical supplies, bringing hope and relief to Gaza’s most vulnerable.
The world is a cruel place, but I firmly believe in the power of human compassion, empathy, sacrifice, and commitment to justice above all else. Whether you can contribute $1 or $1 million, please know that your support is vital towards alleviating suffering and saving lives.
Finally, even if you are not able to contribute anything directly, I would be immensely grateful if you would share this article on your social media and through your networks. United for justice, we can make meaningful progress for those in dire need. Thank you for your trust and partnership.
Netanyahu never really wanted peace. It was always his intention to wipe out the Palestinians. He is behaving very much like all the tyrants who oppressed the Jewish people throughout history, from Torquemada in The Spanish Inquisition to Hitler. Shame on him. What happened to The Golden Rule?
Thank you for continuing to put this “out there” so all of us will know. I agree with Beth Jane Freeman: Netanyahu never wanted peace—in fact, he has ONLY done everything he can to stay in power and escape any Justice.
MLK: “the arc of the moral universe is long…” well, at this point it is too damn long for me.
