I always enjoy your writing and learn something new. I’m chagrined by how little of this history I knew, as a well-educated member of the “coastal elite.” Without making excuse for my own ignorance, I think American education (especially at the K-12 level) as a whole has been horrifically provincial and myopic; it’s as though nothing interesting or important happened before the genocide that was launched in 1692. That leaves a lot of us to discover the power and passion of understanding how history shapes the present on our own, or not at all.

I would love to read your thoughts on what a government more influenced by its women would look like here. I’m reminded of Simone de Beauvoir’s statement that “Man is defined as a human being and woman as a female – whenever she behaves as a human being she is said to imitate the male."

Amen, a person of true faith knows how to get along with others. I've always said & still believe it to this day that it's always been about the content of a persons character first & foremost for me. Anything else whether a person's faith, melonin or words doesn't matter for without that what else really matters. In the very least it should be a starting metric. Now even more so when these same low character people want to come for any of us that do not seem to fit into their own delusional categories. Together we stand, divided we fall.
