El Paso, TX

26 killed by white male who drove from Allen, TX to murder for Trump.

My cousin, David Johnson, was killed shielding his 8 year old granddaughter and his wife. They were shopping for school supplies and their young granddaughter was so excited about starting 3rd grade. Life has never been the same for my family. I’ve always blamed Trump’s HATE agenda. His name was in the shooters manifesto.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Marie. We must stop this vitriol propaganda & fear mongering by Trump, JD Vance & the radical MAGA loyalists. They've divided our country for too many years.

Now, they want to turn our nation over to the 'christian nationalist' movement. I call them "CINO", Christian In Name Only.

In case anyone wants to research their rise to power over the years, as well as their agenda as proposed in Project 2025, watch the following documentary...

'Bad Faith' which can be viewed on Tubi for free. ✅

crazy one can’t yell “fire” in a crowded theater, yet one can say “Proud Boys , stand back and stand by” which is a Be At The Ready Command, then via text invite them to “Be There, It’ll Be Wild”, then instruct them to “march to the capitol and fight like hell or they won’t have a country anymore” then text that Mike Pence wasn’t (breaking the law for them) which they then build a gallows and search for VP Pence and Speaker Pelosi, with no repercussions.

This is called "stochastic terrorism", inciting their audience to attack the target group. I first became aware of this during a rash of attacks, including murders, against abortion clinics & their personnel, that spread to pro-choice politicians, & it was an attack that killed several people, including permanently injuring then Congresswoman Gabby Gifford (hope I got her name right), who is married to former astronaut & current senator Mark Kelly, when I first heard that term. But Republicans, including Trump, have been practicing stochastic terrorism ever since.

Neo-imperialism abroad invariably makes a homecoming in the form of fascism in the domestic realm. What's particularly remarkable is that the Dems had a warning with Trump 1.0 (where DJT wasn't a particularly competent authoritarian) but rather than pursuing reforms that brought about better outcomes for Americans they chose the status quo (i.e. spending billions on futile pursuits abroad rather than on the American people). The cynic in me is inclined to believe that this was deliberate - so that Biden and later Harris could use the 'saving democracy' narrative for their election campaign this time around. Trouble is they weren't expecting to have to unequivocally support a genocide in Gaza which left them scrambling because significant segments of the electorate weren't buying the larger narrative (i.e. there are enough intelligent voters in the country who realise that one cannot claim to be safeguarding of democracy at home while actively facilitating a genocide abroad). Biden didn't expect to have to take a leaf out of their immediate predecessors playbook to surpress anti-genocide activism in the same way that DJT tried to quash BLM protests. But as a guardian of democracy and the first amendment, he did.

The more I think about it, the more I get the sense that the Dems' raison d'etre is inextricably tied with maintaining a perception that the far-right GOP is on the precipitous of gaining power. This is because they lack a comprehensive and cohesive programme of any meaningful substance that is truly aligned with what the electorate at large wants (namely, to close the chapter on endless wars). As of September 14th, there's still time for the Dems to address these misgivings and chart a course that is more oriented towards justice and dignity for people at large (both domestically and abroad). The question is are they willing to read the writing on the wall?

Thanks, Qasim, for this information. I am beyond appalled that Americans support people who lie such as this and support people who shoot “untrainable” dogs. The racism and ignorance is astounding. MAGA should be labeled a terrorist organization and prosecuted as such. trump and vance should be forced to share the same cell for inciting violence. May we find the strength to put them away. How dare these people claim “Freedom of Speech” covers them. They should be held accountable for what they say. Period.

Thank you, Qasim, for this very useful assessment.

My hope is that this will contribute to convincing many more undecided voters that, for the sake of humanity and for democratic society, we the people must vote Harris and Walz into government.

It is very difficult and sad for me to realize that there are Americans who can witness this sort of 'depravity' by Trump and by J D Vance and then not abandon the Trump-MAGA-extremist right crowd.

From experience, we know that American extremists, such as these, are comparatively few in number. We the people are, by and large, mutually respectful and aware that rule of law civil society that is founded on peoples' governance under the Constitution and with explicit equal protections and equal responsibilities is the form of society that promotes conscious and optimistic cooperation, agreement, adherence to agreement, and conscious management of differences, at least as well as people can.

Thank you, Qasim, for assisting us to protect our responsibilities to be factually informed and to use fact and integrity to choose how we vote.

Aggressive mental suggestions are a precursor to animal magnetism- extreme ultimate error imposed on us as though it’s real when it’s not. Very devilish.

If they haven't already, law enforcement needs to start muscling up for the daily violence we are probably going to see after the election. The problem is that so many local law enforcement officers support their violent citizens.

I'll NEVER understand what the point of the DOJ with AG Merrick Garland stands for if he refuses to hold trump accountable for ANYTHING. Also, do you know of ANY attorneys willing to help file a class-action against trump, J.D. Vance and the GOP for years of psychological terror and mental anguish? (sarcasm)

Seems to me your sarcasm has a valid, rational basis behind it

I agree. Everyday is a nauseating reminder of how big a failure he is. I'm not MENSA smart, but this seems diabolical and calculated.

After being called out on his false accusations, during the debate, it did not stop the lunatic from continuing his lying rhetoric. We are living in very scary times. trump is the cause of so much unchecked violence. He is an existential threat to our democracy and freedom.

The state of his repug party is frightening and uncalled for!

How can these he be stopped legally?

By having an AG actually willing to prosecute crimes and not sit on his hands.

Who would you like to see as AG? I thought Kamala Harris herself would've been a good pick. Preet Bharara has a great reputation as an activist prosecutor. Jamie Raskin knows the Constitution as well as anyone & is tough-minded. There are quite a few people I can think of who I think would be good in that position.

Germany sent Hitler to prison and made the foolish mistake of letting him out, claiming he’d “retire to a quiet life.” The USA won’t even send Trump to prison.

Expand full comment

Trump should've been sent to prison as a national security risk based on his incitement of the Capitol Insurrection & his associations with international adversaries, including passing on sensitive classified information to them. This most recent incidence of stochastic terrorism by Trump is yet another reason to lock him in jail while awaiting trial. That would get those trials moving along.
