Meet Qasim
Qasim Rashid, a dedicated human rights lawyer, has spent his career advocating for survivors of domestic violence, asylum seekers, and low-income communities. At the age of five, Qasim and his family immigrated from Pakistan to the United States. Growing up in DuPage County in Section 8 housing, Qasim knows the struggle for working families across the district. He is determined to ensure economic, social, and climate justice for all.

The 11th District is Qasim’s home, so you can count on him to fight for us. Spanning eight counties, Illinois’ 11th District is one of the most diverse in the state. From family farmers to city commuters and business owners, Qasim is determined to apply his experience as a human rights lawyer to advocate for all residents of the 11th district.
